• Dr. R.Sridharan, born in 1952 obtained the MBBS degree in 1974 and MD in General Medicine in 1979 from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry.
• He qualified in Neurology in 1981 from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh.
• He worked as Lecturer in Neurology at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bangalore from 1982-1983.
• He is also a Senior Consultant Neurologist at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, India since 1986.
• He is also an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Liverpool, the UK since 1999.
• He has over 70 publications in various Journals.
• He has given several invited lectures, CME lectures at important conferences, guest lectures, and orations (See Publications List).
• He has also received international awards for innovation.
• He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh), Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Glasgow), Fellow of the Indian Academy of Neurology, and Corresponding Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology.
• He is one of the Editors of the Cochrane Epilepsy Review Group based in Liverpool, UK, and a steering committee member of the South Asian Cochrane Network.
• He is a member of the Editorial Advisory Committee of Neurology India and annals of Indian Academy of Neurology
